Da Barbican

Went for a late night stroll last night while Craig went a tad bit trigger happy with the Nikon. Eagle eyed observers might notice my hair looks a lot sleeker, unlike the withered dry hay I've become accustomed to. Yep finally got it cut + the obligatory blow dry. When the lady asked me what I wanted to do with my hair, I said "please do something with my witch hair!".

Me trying to get beamed up scotty.

Piano Saturday

Went for a walk and came across 2 street pianos, part of the City of London festival. There are 19 more sporadically placed at various gardens, streets and squares. I played the only 2 (grade 1 level) songs I know, for a short moment I felt like Mylene Klass while a small crowd gathered. Ok 2 people. And they were at a distance - but looking over in admiration. Thanks to Mrs Worth the piano tutor I gave up my lessons before I got to grade 2, all because she used to hit my fingers with her pen whenever I made a mistake, which would result in me crying and eventually becoming terrified of her.

Marylebone Fayre

On Sunday we went to the annual Marylebone Summer Fayre which is always a pleasant day out. Never go on an empty stomach or you'll want to eat everything - so much scrumptious food on offer! Cakes galore, food from around the world and good old homegrown fruit, meat & veg. I could easily spend £50 on food alone. Folks sipped on Pimms and lemonade while live bands played. There were also vintage clothes and jewellery stalls. Heaven! We ended the day at our most favourite Fish & Chip shop in the world 'The Golden Hind' where I was offered a complimentary bottle of wine from ole' Tony the proprietor. The perfect end to a lovely day.

The People's Supermarket

There's a food shop near us which has a new concept that is 'run by the people for the people'. You can become a member of The People's Supermarket and work there for 5 hours a week, in return you get discount off the groceries. This new project is being filmed by Channel Four. So far there are 124 members. Will this new concept catch on? Who knows. It's cheaper than 'Costcutters' anyway...

Museum of London

Went to the new and improved MoF on Sunday, I kinda skimmed past a lot of the exhibits and artifacts (seen it before!) to cut straight to the new section:
